We’re so incredibly proud of past Girls With Sole participant, Emily Shelton, who won our essay contest and then read her essay to the crowd at our LULA 5K. After  completing Girls With Sole programs, she tried out for, and made, various sports teams she had previously been afraid to try. Girls With Sole is thrilled that everyone gets to see the amazing young lady she is, and continues to be. She keeps moving forward in the most positive ways, and sailing through life with resiliency!

Empowering Teen Says No More

No one knows for certain how much impact they have on the lives of other people. Oftentimes, we have no clue. Yet, seemingly small efforts made by individuals eventually add up to something large and impactful in the life of another soul.

Girls With Sole is excited and proud to take part in The NO MORE Challenge, a national fundraiser to help drive support and raise much-needed funds for domestic violence and sexual assault organizations.

  • Each charity keeps every donation it raises during the campaign.
  • The team that raises the most during the Challenge wins   a $50,000 donation
  • Second place gets $30,000
  • Third place gets $20,000

Plus, there will also be weekly Bonus Challenges for charities to win up to another $25,000, as well as an extended HopeLine Phone Drive Contest with the opportunity to earn an additional $25,000.

The Challenge goes live and can accept donations beginning on Thursday, February 4th at 12pm, and ends on March 15th.

Girls With Sole needs your help to say NO MORE and to win this Challenge!

Please donate any amount – every bit helps – to our link below.

Our programs provide girls with the necessary tools for resilience, hope, healing and prevention by using a guided curriculum and numerous fitness and art activities that teach teamwork, leadership, and healthy habits to last a lifetime.

Each participant also receives a copy of the book, Finish Line Feeling, free running shoes, sports bras, fitness journals and entry into a 5K or other races.

We’re a grass-roots organization that serves Cuyahoga, Lorain and Stark Counties, and also has a Chapter in Charleston, South Carolina – but there are still so many girls who need our help that we can’t reach without this critical funding.

Girls With Sole is in great need of funding to acquire an office space, pay two staff members, and expand programming for girls locally, while furthering our reach to other cities across the U.S.

It is our aim to be a national organization by the year 2020.

Together we can serve more girls in need, and provide them with the opportunity to discover the health, healing, self-esteem, and sense of achievement they deserve and are capable of.

Together we can nurture and empower our future leaders.

Together we can say No More!
