Liz Ferro is Keynote Speaker at Hathaway Brown’s Girls’ Health Fest
Hathaway Brown is partnering with the Cleveland Clinic, University Hospitals/Rainbow Babies and Children and the Ahuja Medical Center to host an inaugural event, Healthy Bodies, a fun-filled, action-packed, educational health and wellness conference for adolescent and pre-adolescent girls and their parents. (Parents are encouraged but not required to attend.) The program is designed to educate and excite girls about physical, mental and social health and wellness, as well as build the foundation for life-long healthy behaviors and habits. This event is free and open to girls in fourth through eighth grade from Hathaway Brown and the greater Cleveland community. Parents are encouraged to attend with their daughter where they can get moving together as well as attend workshops designed just for parents!
Liz Ferro, founder of Girls with Sole, will open the event as our keynote speaker. This will be followed by numerous health and wellness workshops presented by experts in the field. These include student-centered Brain Power! and Move It! workshops and Parent Workshops, too. All session offerings are listed below. The group will also come together as a whole for discussion, spirit events and, of course, healthy snacks!
